Lord, I can't understand
How some are put through hell
And some live in luxury
While others are put to the test
Nothing to help their pain

I don't question your methods
I know you have a plan
I just can't understand
The logic in some choices
How some of this is sane

Only you know the truth
Why things happen as they do
While we don't understand
We trust in your loving hand
As we are drenched by the rain

We spend our whole lives
Looking for the signs
Of life after death
And spiritual guidance
While they are all in our domain

Unconditional love only exists
In your love for us
And those that truly love you
But no one can say
While some try to explain
