Love will tear your heart in two
and patch it back in place.
It will leave you hanging on a thread
and leave marks you can't erase.

It will haunt you in your dreams
and make you giddy while you're awake.
It will be the craving you can't satisfy,
it will be more than you can take.

It will be the fire that keeps you going,
it will be the burden that brings you to your death.
It will be the drug that keeps you high -
innocent sweet sugar, or deadly crystal meth.
