I Don't Know How To Say It (Sonnet #47) Poem by Tina Baaklini

I Don't Know How To Say It (Sonnet #47)

I don't know how to say it in plain words
I don't know how to write it in ample
It remains hidden in my inner world
A treasure held within my heart's temple

It's precious indeed, as precious as life
As valuable as the air we all breathe
It gives us wings to fly, be happy and thrive
So tender and soft it is as the breeze

It flows between our two hearts, sweet soulmate
As the sap flows between the tree brown boughs
It adorns my life as a gift from fate
People celebrate it by sharing vows

I'm sure you guessed it, if not, now you'll do
Three words from my heart to yours: I LOVE YOU
