I Dream Of A Time Poem by Okunola Peace

I Dream Of A Time

I can taste it in the air;
The happiness in moment unseen
When Dreams shall become reality
And the world shall become a mirror of truth.

Days when the world merry,
When men reap abundantly
And women fake not their smile
That once bore hate and lies.

A time when corruption is no more,
When equality is a flag unblemished,
When leaders are figures to be adored,
And war seems like a story far-fetched.

Days when freedom is not a commodity,
When darkness is not a chain to the innocent,
When the future is not a subject of worry,
But an unseen moment of fulfilment

Shall all this come to pass?
Or have I hope too much?
Like a man who wish to rule
And hope heaven will crown him themselves.
