I Feel Poem by Kelli D. Williams

I Feel

I feel the wind blow my hair
As I gallop through the fields
I'm running from the heartache
And the woman that you killed
I feel the branches tug at my clothes
And scratch me on my face
I'm trying to run away
To a safe and secret place
I feel the ground shake
Under my horses feet
I ran into an opening
And I wished I could retreat
I feel your hand around my throat
As you pull me to the ground
I tried to scream for help
But I couldn't make a sound
I feel the life leaving me
As the morning fades to night
And I saw a smile upon your lips
When my eyes lost all their light
I lay there on the ground
Wondering where i'd go
And then I feel the clouds
Soft against my toes
I pray that God will show you
All you did to me
So maybe one day I won't feel bad
For the way things had to be!
