I Find It Frustrating (September 09) Poem by StaceyLeigh Olner

It's frustrating having this operation,
Before i could walk un aided,
But my knees was dislocating,
But now i've had an op,
And i can't walk properly,
I can only do short,
Distances on my crutches,
As the cage is very heavy,
I'm doing very well though,
As i can now put a little bit of weight on it,
Even though it hurts,
It has to be elevated all the time though,
As it is still swollen,
When i go out i will,
Have to go in a wheelchair,
I have to wear an,
Anti-embolism stocking,
On my right leg,
And an injection in my stomach,
After dinner each day,
To thin my blood to stop it clotting,
So far i have 9 dots in my stomach,
From the injections,
They hurt.

It's frustrating,
not being able,
To do things that i used to before,
Even the simple things,
It's annoying.
