I find it hard to manage time
that rolls right off my fingertips.
Even so, as I get older,
I learn how to deal with this:
I take to hobbies, new and old,
that shape who I become
and let them have me flourish like a forest in the sun.
Now I know the key to life is working to find joy.
For what it's worth, it doesn't pay
to pity or be coy.
I really with the things I love
to replace all the boring chores
that take my focus from the future
and keep me from wanting more.
