I was lonely
And I asked god
For someone to be there for me when I needed them most
The next day I met you
I finally found you

I felt like all the light had left my life
And I pleaded with god
For someone who could brighten my day with just a smile
Then I saw your smile that lit up my life
I finally found my light

I felt numb
And I begged god
For someone I could love
Then (sure enough) I fell in love with you
I found love
