I Go Where My Loneliness Goes Poem by Shalom Freedman

I Go Where My Loneliness Goes

I GO WHERE MY LONELINESS GOES

I go where my Loneliness goes
I carry it with me everywhere
Often it is hidden
Even from myself
But it is always with me
Always waiting to show itself again
And shame me into fear and sadness
Oh it is not lovely this loneliness which goes with me everywhere
But I will bear it with me to its utmost manifestation- the grave
And then where it will go I do not know.
