I Had A Chance
I had a chance
To be more
But because
No one else
Walked that
Way, neither
Did I.
I had a chance
To be special
But since I
Saw noone else
Being special.
I stopped, too.
I had a chance
To become
More than I
Ever thought
Possible
In a moment’s
Breath
I turned away.
Do I still have
That chance?
I hope -
I hope
That the day
Hasn’t finished
Before I become
The dawn.
