'I Had A Dream About You' Poem by Alex Wade

I had a dream about you
I couldn't help but wake up and cry
It made me really appreciate
Having someone like you in my life
I had a dream that you left me
And went to live with the man above
And when you left, you took my heart
And left me with no one else to love
From the day you left, I was stuck in a time
In which I spent crying and grieving
It's like I hated God for what he did
By simply taking you away from me
I would walk around at the park we love
And just burst out into tears
Because I couldn't help but reminisce
All the memories we shared here
This dream made me appreciate
And realize how much I cared for you
And I realize now if you ever died
I really wouldn't know what to do
So when I had this dream about you
I woke up and I cried
And thank God with all my heart
Just for letting you be alive.
