I Had A Own Kingdom Poem by Prasenjit Roy

I Had A Own Kingdom

I had a kingdom in my childhood,
A realm unseen by mortal eyes.
The countless stars were my soldiers...
Who fought beneath the infinite skies.

The ground before my small hut...
Was the battlefield of frequent wars;
With the sticks of my quiver,
I conquered Capital of the universe.

My imagination was my magic,
I hypnotized enemy in a labyrinth trap.
Every planet used to move at my wish...
And only victory waited in every short gap.

My toys were mighty chariots,
My paper boats a fearless fleet;
The trees stood tall as supportive forts,
The muddy roads were kingdoms' street.

The clouds became majestic castles,
The moon was my guide;
Each new dawn unveiled a new journey...
With indomitable will power as my only pride.

But time, the ultimate conqueror-
Forfeited my crown without being little kind....
The kingdom of imagination faded slowly...
Leaving the sweet memories behind.
