I Have A Voice Poem by tawanda mutukwa

I Have A Voice

Rating: 5.0

I have a voice that wants to be heard
crying and screaming as it yearns
though I am among
that voice asks me where I belong

I have a voice that seeks to tell the view not spoken
the opinion and the force lie unshaken
through the darkness of ignorance
there is a cry for acknowledgement, self expression and enlightenment
wide as the world is, wider still is the void waiting to be filled

as hope still fades
and the dayrise turns to sunset
out of all this yet
I have a voice

The saviour must be spoken
the spiritual walls must be broken
I am not a preacher, nor a singer
neither am I a man of stature
but I have a voice

My name may not be remembered in the books of the earth
the people may not cheer as they see my apparent worth
shunned, downtrodden and waiting to burst
someone needs to hear what I have to say
someone needs to know the good news I know

my passion may not be visible to all
but Jesus needs to come aliveto that lost soul
there is a filler to that spiritual hole
I have a voice, one day it will be noticed
