I Have Another Friend. - Poem by john o'connell

another friend.

i have another friend:
he was intensely unhappy
and jumped from a bridge.

now he sits
in a wheelchair
and is intensely happy.

'and if I ever lose my legs
    I won't moan and I won't beg
oh if I ever lose my legs
    oh well...
I won't have to walk no more'

    Moonlight shadow, Cat Stevens

Somehow I began humming this song, one of my favourites, while reading your poem, great write!
    Take care,
    Martine
