i've never fallen so far
without you. i was raised
with a very silent adoration
of the other; i'm sorry i got so
soaked in words and waited
on your chest to wake.
i've taken time over mine, as you
have too; all i can offer is
my boundless love, my word,
for what it's worth and this day,
these now's, the newness
of each moment together.
all that remains to be said is,
‘i am happy for us.'
