Tell me why you’re leaving
Why are you going away
I wish that I could find the words
That would make you want to stay

I know sometimes those words
Can be so very useless
Because the words we choose
Cannot clean up the mess

Maybe it will be better
To just let you go away
But there is something
That I have to say

For such a very long time
You lived inside my heart
I know I never told you
Because I didn’t where to start

But now that you are leaving
I know our love will never grow
I’m not trying to change your mind
But these things I wanted you to know

Watching you walk away
Is not going to be easy to do
Not since my heart
Has fallen in love with you
