I Just Can't Stop Them Poem by Emmanuel Arunee Mwanza

I Just Can't Stop Them

I hear them...
Their voices so loud...
They echoe so much from all directions

Should I stop them?
What benefit must I gain after all?
Should I call their parents to stop them?
Where will I start from to call parents of these angry adults?
I just can't stop them

Because I just can't end their every suffering
Even though I wish I could
My wishes come like a blunt knife trying to cut into fresh meat
They seem useless
To those in charge...
And I watch them suffer at the hands of the few, daily...sad

So must I stop them?
No! ! !
I just can't stop them
I will let them shout on top of their voices
I will let them make the noises all they can
Oh yes!
I will let them
Because I just can't stop them when they shout for justice
