I Knew I Was A Child Poem by Frankie Jay

I knew I was a child,
but only when i was older.
I never thought I'd be older,
but i was a child then.

I never knew what i was doing,
Until after i had done it.
and after i did it,
i thought 'what was I doing'

every time i had the chance to,
be who I thought i was.
The person i thought i was,
wouldn't take chances.

I never knew where I was going,
but i got there.
when i got there,
I thought 'were was i going'

I knew I was bound to my mind,
but i tried to out think it anyway.
When i was just about to,
I realized i was thinking with my mind.
