I needn't think twice,
Deciding to board that cab
Though a few were standing there,
It being rush office hour
Being the last one in, paying the drive
It came to my eyes, serene a face
She was the charming, of the two
Sharing the lengthy rear-end seat.
It was her charm, pulling me near
Than the tiresome day just spared
That I chose to be the third,
Sharing that seat though meant for them
Seven can share that single row,
And many were there still on stand
Yet no one came, being the fourth
Not gentle, but staying from twilight
Radiant pleasance of chaste that smile,
Hard I felt to hold my running eyes,
Though many a times she saw me gaze,
Helpless I drowned in deep that eyes
Finally it came, her place to leave
And slowly the cab came to a halt,
Something she said, that girl next to her
I was all ears, yet couldn't make
For me the curious, it took no time to know,
Shell shocked I saw what my beauty demand,
Near the window, next to that girl
Her walking aids, kept as if hidden
Thin she was at legs, polio I guess
Now helping herself out through the steps,
With saintly her silent friend on watch,
Proclaiming nothing new in that
My face, often revealing What all in mind,
Uninvited I hope, brought her eyes to mine
Whether mercy it was or sorrow or disbelief
With myself failing to know what in my mind.
Unforgettable it was, she standing in boardwalk
And that eyes, deep and flooded yet pleasant
Curse was not there for cruel the lord,
Hate was not there for sympathizing eyes
Anxiety and fear though hidden I could feel,
From beneath the vigour to ensure herself alright,
And above all that hunger in heart for one,
Who can love and care her still.
I felt like those eyes, were laughing at me,
Asking me have a look at her now,
Asking me have a look at those feet,
Telling, no other heart can love me more.
Hope I can't and may be I don't want
Myself forgetting that face, that eyes
Though I sat as if I was dead, the day
I could have been a ray of hope in them.

I would like to translate this poem
An honest description of a time-free crush... again a cruel side of us is shown. Liked the flooded eyes.
