I Know You, You Never Knew Me. Poem by Jodie Louise Pollock

I Know You, You Never Knew Me.

Now that I know you don’t know me,
Ill start with how I know you…

Your eyes,
Your hair,
Your name,
Your sound,
The way you are when I’m around,

Your hands,
Your touch,
Your feel,
Your looks,
The way you called me for reading books,

Your life,
Your goal,
Your fears,
Your soul,
The way crushed my dream, my goal,

Oh why I say,
For on this very day,
You broke my heart,
You tore us apart,

It was just a year ago,
And now I still don’t know,
Why you changed the way I feel,
When you told that none of it was real.

Now I’m suffocated with the pain,
Nothing will ever be the same,
My heart bled, my heart cried,
Just knowing that you never tried,

Why would you try? I hear you say,
Maybe because I did day after day,
But now you’re gone and there’s no more lies,
Let me pray I speak no more goodbyes.

poetry is like a love of this motherly nature, you want to keep it with pen Your fears, Your soul, The way crushed my dream, my goal, Oh why I say, For on this very day, Your broke my heart,
