They try to tell me what to do
they try to make me a different person
they want me to be just the way they are.
You tell me to do whatever I want
You tell me to just be me
but in your eyes i can see
you want me to be you.
so don't tell me what to do
and don't tell me what to say
I'll just be me
no matter what you think.
