When one heart drifts apart -
there's nothing left to share.
No hope, no futre no dreams...

I've come to realize -
that we could never be.
I'm sorry things had to
end this way.
The betrayal you've inflicted
upon me - showed me just how
little you really cared....

You drove me away with the
head games that you played.
We were heading towards disaster
a life that's filled with
sorrow and pain....

I thought I knew you -
but guess I was blind.
I wanted to believe in you -
But, you shattered my world
time after time.

When it came to you -
I don't know how I could of
been so wrong.
When it came to our love
I was sure it would last beyond
the end of time.
But, in your world of pretend,
I simply just don't belong...

We both lived in a world of
illusions - pretending things
were fine.
Now I realize it was a place
of total confusion.
a place I must now leave behind.

I never meant to hurt you.
But, the games that you choose
to play are much too cruel.
I know it's time for me
to walk away...
No longer can I play the role
of your fool...

Do I dare to trust in
love once more?
Do I have the strengh to
tear down my wall..
You broke my heart beyond
it's core. Never before had
I taken such a fall...

I'll take it one day at a time.
Piece by piece i'll put back
together my heart.
I'm strong - this too I
shall rise above
'I'll Shoot For The Stars'
and find my true love...
