[I lost my brother] Poem by Gabrielė Labanauskaitė

[I lost my brother]

I lost my brother
He slid under the ice
I lost my brother
When he was small, he really liked
swimming
I lost my brother
He didn't know how to fish
I lost my brother
I tried to teach him
To become a fish
I lost my brother
A water dragon
I lost my brother
He hissed so much underwater
I lost my brother
Maybe I helped him drink
I lost my brother
I gave him so much to drink
Until he could no longer take my water
I lost my brother
Maybe I never even had one.
