I Lost You Poem by Pamela Mote

I Lost You

When I set it down
I should of thought twice
I lost you long before this time
So why do you keep fighting?
You walked away
As if I was no one
Your face I don't see
Tell me, where are you hiding?
Do you really want to stay away from me?
I put myself out there, for you
But you did not care
I can't say I lost you
Because I never had you
The day will come when we will
Have to speak, but until
Then, know that you created this scar
For you, it was so hard
Away, you stayed so far
I lost you
But I know I never really knew you
