I Love My Food, Kashmir Style. - Poem by Noorie Ali
I Love my rice, with all sauces, lentils, chicken or plain,
I love to lick my Kulfi, when it drips and i catch -
the falling drops onto my tongue as it melts away
I love my samosa, Pakora,
my hot, greasy Kebab.
With red ketchup, on top.
I love my Chapati, Naan bread with the fresh meat on top.
I like my salad, creamy and luscious.
I like my cauliflower curry
my plum Chutney
my Desi Ghee
and i like all things buttery
i love my aloo-Gosht
my Egg on toast
my Chips 'N Ceema
I like my prantha Crispy
with my Achar Sour but sweet.
i like my food to be:
presentable and neat.
I love my Rasmaly, my Pink, cold, Falooda.
I love my jammy Doughnuts, my chocolate fudje Cake.
i like my Gulab-Jaman.
my strawberry, my Milkshake'S.
i like my Crips' my soft Drinks
my Bombay mix
Love my Chai' my Coffee.
