I Love You. Poem by Nisa Hayes

I Love You.

Rating: 5.0

Listen.
Closely now,
Lips sealed tight.
Eyes wide, ears open
Heart exposed.

Come.
Closer now,
Let me hold you in my arms
Let my lips grace your head
Heart exposed.

Halt.
Steady now,
As we become one,
Intertwined are our breaths
Hearts exposed.

Please.
Be my forever now,
Walk with me in eternity
Never leave me,
With my heart exposed.

Wait.
Where have you gone?
My eyes searched, yet you could not be found
My ears listened yet didn't pick up a sound
With my heart exposed, it shatters slow.
The arrow of love pierced the center,
But did more damage now then when it entered.
