I Love You



You gave me hope
And helped me to cope
When life pulled me down
You brought me around

You taught me to care
And helped me to share
You made me honest
With kindness of the best

You learnt me to love
With grace from above
It's for you I want to live
And I help to give

You are the reason
That brightens each season
When I hear love I think of you
You are my best friend too

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This poem was written shortly after my father died, I wrote it on a poetry course and it made me feel emotional when writing it. But I think it as a nice warm feeling to it.
