I Loved Him Poem by .... Chetty

I Loved Him

I told him that I love him
I told him I was crazy for him
I told him yes baby I promise you my love

The love that I had for him was lonely
I was looking for a shadow to hold
The love that I had for him I was looking for someone to give my heart to
The love I had for him was never given back in return,
I was looking for a shadow that will cherish it
But all of this faded away, my baby fooled me

The love that I had for him
I wanted someone to take me away from the pain
I told him baby boy I love you! ! ! yes I do! !
Yes baby I cherish our love for eternity

I promised him the world
I promised him the stars
I ask of him baby please promise me you will love me and never do me wrong

Baby told me he will never leave
But behind my back, baby did me wrong
The love I had for him he wasn't willing to give back

So I called my baby and told him I couldn't wait for him
I told my baby, my sweet heart I promised you my love
Baby the love that I had for you is all alone
I am looking for a shadow to hold this love
I am looking for someone who wants to cherish my love

He told me in time he will give me the love I want
But the love that I had for him, I was looking for someone to hold it tight
The love I had for him, I was looking for someone to wipe my tears

My baby came looking for me
But the love I had for him despaired
The love I had for him left him standing alone

My baby now promise me his love
But the love I had for him, I was looking for someone to appreciate it
My love for him was left behind for someone else to hold

I told him Oh baby you had my heart
Oh sweetheart you had all of me
Oh baby you left my love without a care
Oh baby you promised me your love
oh my love, you left me looking for a shadow to love me back
Oh baby my love was beautiful but you couldn't see the beauty
oh baby boy the love I had for you, you left me crying all alone
You had me looking for a shadow to hold me tight
