I Loved You Where I Wasn't Allowed Poem by Ally Lyn

I Loved You Where I Wasn't Allowed

I loved you in a quiet way,
Not knowing you already had someone to stay

We could never be more
Blood stands in between,
A painful truth I never wished to see

But what hurts more than loving you from afar
Is losing the person you once were

The one I laughed and played with,
Innocent yet infinite

Now you've changed,
And I barely recognize you.
