Don t grieve for me, for now I m free
I m following the path God laid for me.
I took his hand when I heard him call
I turned my back and left it all.
I could not stay another day
to laugh, to love, to work or play.
Tasks undone must stay that away.
I found that peace at close of day.
If my parting has left a void
then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss,
ah, yes these things I too will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My life s been full, Iv e savored much,
good friends, good times,
a loved one s touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all to brief,
don t lenghten it now with undue grief.
Lift up your hearts and share with me
God wanted me now:
He set me free.

Frankly, I don’t really care who is the true author. Whomever it really was should be decorated to the highest degree, it’s absolutly beautiful.
Barry Wickes. This is my poem. It is in the published book from a collection of poems I wrote, 'Voices From Beyon.' Since it's publishing, I've seen numerous names attributed to my poem. It hurts that people will take credit for another persons work, but God knows the truth! d
While I appreciate that you love this poem, and I, truly am glad that it brought comfort to you and your family, and friends, I would also appreciate if you would remove his name, as writer of this poem. My name is Janice M Fair-Salters, and this poem was written and published under the title Voices From Beyond. May God continue to be the strength in your life...

I wrote this poem in 2010 and is now being used in the web. How did you get this poem?
Be honest and tell the truth, you did NOT WRITE THIS POEM. In essence, you are lying before, and to God when you say so. We all will be standing before God giving an account of the truth, and the lies. Stop trying to lay claim to a gift that God has given me, and support the gift He gave you! !
While I appreciate that you love this poem, I beg to differ, that you wrote it. I know the person who wrote it...ME! ! It was not written in 2010 either. You know we all are going to face Jesus, and I'd hate to think that upon giving an account of this lie you told to get your name on this poem, you are bringing punishment upon yourself....
No you did not! I wrote this in 1994 and have the original copy
