I'm not supposed to say everything Poem by Veerankutty

I'm not supposed to say everything

Please, don't insist on making me say everything
This mountain is eloquent enough
To speak of solitude as
It stands still since
The very moment of it's birth.

Let the brook be obliged
To describe the jungle
With bursting laughter.

Of the weaving of dreams
I have nothing more to say
Than what the spider has to say.

The lean silhouettes in the street
May, well, create a murky panorama
Of hunger.

The dead has the sole right to
Speak of silence
And of God.

What I am driving at is this
A brave one has to come forward
To say ‘stop ranting' to those who have been babbling
All the while,
It'll be better if
It is someone from among you.
