I have to make it clear
All that follows is from me
It is very difficult to say
And yet I can write it freely

I hope you can forgive me
I don’t mean what I say
I can tell I am closed
I see all sides but grey

My thoughts sin deep
With yellow and green
It’s not worth our time
We’re only fifteen

We should be back to back
On a journey for two
If I can’t regain you trust
I don’t know what I’ll do

I must persist
Though you may already know
I can’t leave it to chance
I need our friendship to grow

The thought of your pain
Brings tears to my eyes
I would never put you down
And not for some prize

I hope past times
Will make it clear
That what I give to you now
Is true and sincere

Take my words
Consider them please
For what I’ve wrote though my tears
I did not write with ease
