I'M Still Here Poem by Prince ....

I'M Still Here

I'm still here,
Drifting in the broken mirror.
My hand scratches the surface,
I've lost my purpose.
All I have is the memory of what was,
And I cry at night because,
The loneliness kills me inside.

Let's pretend life is great,
And leave behind fate.
Sing our songs of sorrow,
So we can look forward to tomorrow.
Spare me the words,
I never heard.
'I love you.'

My final breath is gone,
I never knew you all along.
I shake and crumble,
And with the devil I rumble.
You kill my heart,
So my life falls apart.

Break my bones,
With sticks and stones,
But please don't break my heart.
