I May Destroy Poem by Jose Milton Carvalho

I May Destroy

I may destroy your memory of me
Everything I wanted to be would be gone
The dark parts and the brightest
I may destroy your memory of us
The bottom of each conversation would be pointless
To meet the end is to meet the change
From every word and every glimpse of the eyes
I may destroy your the memory of love
Because the monster in me is loud and clear
It wants heart, blood and soul
Every part of the human being
I may destroy every memory of the things
That share from years that passed
Sometimes these memories aren't that strong
Like the love I felt from deep within
