I Met Myself Through You (Sonnet #60) Poem by Tina Baaklini

I Met Myself Through You (Sonnet #60)

When I look for you and you're not around
I delve within my heart that sees but you
Then wander amid my thoughts, there you're found
I see your picture in my soul's sky blue

When I miss you, I feel your heart's embrace
We're deeply rooted, we're one soul by fate
Your tender words draw a smile on my face
For so long we longed to meet, sweet soulmate

I met myself through you, my higher self
For the first time I knew love, devotion,
A trusted soul with endless tenderness
Who pours in me the purest emotions

So please do not wonder when I convey
That my dream is to live with you someday
