I Miss Her From The Park Poem by Francis Duggan

I Miss Her From The Park

The kind and wise old lady at peace forever lay
But happy memories of her with me destined to stay
Until the Reaper decides to claim the life's breath from me
In the not too distant future whenever that will be.

When the pale pink blossoms are blooming on the fruit bearing tree
Walking her jack russell in the park in fancy her I see
She smiles and says good morning it is a pleasant day
I miss her from the Parklands more than my words can say.

So down to earth and likeable and untainted by conceit
One of the nicest people that one could wish to meet
She had a charm about her a lovely smiling face
The sagess of the neighbourhood and none to take her place.

So wise gentle and caring the one with silver hair
A very special person people like her are rare
In the sunshine of the morning I hear the magpie lark
I have mental pictures of her I miss her from the park.
