This is a Poem of Self-Discovery and the knowledge you gained about life comes with a measure of sadness that is inseparable from what you learned about relationships and, well, men. You handle both the learning about life and the sadness movingly. There is no doubt about the genuineness of your experience. What I like in this poem is that your emotions are in flux and you let them guide the poem, rather than imposing a premature judgment on your experience. And I applaud your honesty in admitting you still have feelings for him and the good things you shared. So now you KNOW what you want in a relationship as well as what you don't want. And you preserved your freedom to choose a better guy, one that won't betray you. You didn't get entangled in a bad ongoing relationship because you must have sensed it could only become worse, and those things you are endeared to - the walks, the talk, the simple joy of his company - are waiting for you to grasp with someone more worthy. Overall, this is also a Poem of Hope in a Future which is probably closer than you think possible. Knowledge of the Heart is worth the sadness that accompanies it. Knowledge of algebra or Civil War history or anything academic cannot match this knowledge in enriching your life. AND YOUR POEM PRESERVES THE EXPERIENCE FOREVER.
