I Miss You. Poem by Felicity Phillips

I Miss You.

When you think of the good old times, I hope you remember my smile.
I hope when you think of the term teenage love, my face is the first one that pops up.
When you remember all the things we went through together, I hope you laugh.

Oh, 'cause when I wake up in the morning,
I swear to myself I'm over you.
When I'm getting ready for school e'eryday,
I hope you notice me again.
I pretend I'm over you, I pretend I'm fine.
That's when I realize,
Your smile's what kept me alive.

When you look at all those pictures you took,
I hope your eyes fill up with tears.
I hope you remember the guilt, the pain and the how scared I was when you left.
Your eyes are so beautiful, but your words are some of the ugliest things.
My words shake, my eyes fill up with tears when your name comes along.

The lies are over,
When will you realize I'm sick of it all.
Sick of the lies, the drama, the tears.
My heart is drenched in pain,
My words feel weird,
I can't even force myself to laugh these days.

Baby, I miss you.
Baby, I miss you.
Baby, I miss you and I love you.
