I Miss You

We were high school sweethearts.
Together since sophomore year,7 years ago.
Then you left.
You left for war,
and all I could think about was you.
If you were safe,
and when I could see you again.
you were deployed for a year
and a half until I could
be here with you now
i came here to visit you
because i love you and miss you
