I Miss You :) Poem by Meo Langru

I Miss You :)

You and I felt like two different worlds,
yet fate has always had a taste for strange things.
When we first met,
I thought we'd simply pass through each other's lives.

Then time quietly closed the distance.
Small conversations became habits.
I learned how to wait for someone,
and how to care without needing a reason.

My friend kept taking the seat beside you.
So, of course, I chased him away.
Just so I could look at you a little longer.
In a classroom full of people,
my eyes always found their way back to you.

Then one day, you told me you loved me.
For a moment, my heart forgot how to beat.
The world around me faded into silence.
I could only turn away and walk slowly,
caught off guard by something I had never expected.

Maybe fate was jealous of your smile,
because it pulled us in different directions.
The day you left,
everything familiar suddenly felt much bigger and emptier.

Every now and then, I find myself thinking about you
at the most unexpected moments.
That strong girl,
with the eyes that made people want to protect her.

I thought I had left it all behind,
then an old memory would quietly return.
I don't know how far our story could have gone.

I only know that some memories
are harder to leave behind than others.
My mind wants to throw you out of my heart,
but my feelings keep bringing you back.

Funny, isn't it?
