I Missed... Poem by Nestor David Armas

I Missed...

That girl caught my eye,

Just thinking of her makes me sigh,

She stood out like a diamond; bright,

Heavenly body shaped by God, just right,

Eyes like blue sky with wispy clouds,

Smile shone like the half moon;

Just as dusk settles into night shrouds,

He super sized them fries, making me swoon,

As he gave her a full-size derrière to boot,

I wanted to steal her away, such loot,

There would be none greater a thief,

My exaltation of the prize not brief,

But I wouldn't lock her away,

I'd take her out, watch her at play,

She be my greatest treasure,

Loving her would my greatest pleasure,

This is what I wished to do,

I knew the what, where, why, how & who,

But I missed the when,

And that's when it happened then,

She was taken from me, in a blink of an eye,

Thus the thief was robbed, this is why I cry...
