I Must Have Prayed A Thousand Times Last Night

I must have prayed a thousand times last night.
I must've begged, I must've pleaded I must've cried.
I asked God to please keep me in his sight
as I prepared for something I have been waiting
for my whole life.

But when the time came to take a stand
I fell to the ground a broken man
my life left slipping from my hands.
I failed and I dont know why.
I must have prayed a thousand times last night.
