When I was scared
So lost and alone
I needed you
You were not there
I longed for you to hold me tight
I needed you to reach out to me
Just to tell me
Everything will be alright
You were not there
When I was crying out in pain
I reached for you
You were not there
When my life was imploding
My insides ripped in two
My tears burned my eyes blinding me
Longing for a shadow of
This mist of what I thought was you
But you were not there

I needed you
Instead I held my pillow tight
While never ending tears fell in silence
Not once did you hold me
Not once did you say
