I Paint Poem by Anna Osipova

I Paint

I paint snowstorm on your window,
So that you won't take the ride…
You know, I'd rather be your widow
one day, than never be your bride…
I paint rainbow on your walls,
So that you'd see the beauty blooming…
You know, I'd rather say "I was
his wife", than "No. He never knew me".
I paint grass upon your floor,
So that you could walk barefoot.
You know, I'd rather be your flaw,
Than virtue of another fool.
I paint sun upon your ceiling,
So that you'd have your own place.
You know, I'd rather be your meaning,
Than just a thing for someone else.
I paint dreams inside your head,
So that you'd wake up fresh and happy.
You know, you can say I am mad…
I will respond - "I love you, baby".
