I Pity You Poem by Cheryl A. Caron

I Pity You

Rating: 2.0

I pity you because
If it is not tangible
You can not believe in it
You see only containers
You lack understanding
You have not learned yet
Boxes can be unfolded
Yet if the precious contents
Are secured in the right way
They will not blow away
Still I can forgive you
For your lack of knowledge
For believing we are servants
I think one day you will
Learn the same way I did
The same way we all do
And you will have regrets
You will carry them with you
As you fall to your grave
And I hope for your sake
That you will still own them
When your turn comes again
So they will no longer be regrets
They will instead be wisdom

I like this one, especially the last five lines.
