I Plead Guilty Poem by hopejulian Asiimwe

I Plead Guilty

It's now that l believe
No distance can ever separate
Actions and consciousness
If you are a believer, you know it
The repercussions of what you do
Will always remain

Me and you are like a wish
So full of ifs and what ifs
Like the south and north
We can never conjoin
Like the sun and moon, it can only be the other option for us to meet

But my guilt and consciousness meet every time I think about you
Am so atoned by that day
And my heart is darkened by guilt
I am sorry.
