I Refuse Poem by Debra George

I Refuse

I know I refuse to do homework.
You wish I was like my brothers.
You are always comparing mine and my brother grades.
He has straight a's and I have f's because I refuse to do anything in class.
I even wish I had good grades,
But we all know that will never happen.
I refuse to be good too.
That is another thing you compare to my brother.
I refuse to do anything anybody tells me to do.
The good thing is I have a roof over my head, and shoe on my feet.
The only thing I do not refuse to do is tell my family that I do love them ever much.
