I Remember



Every shout out to the future
Always ends up in the past
Dead and dying in the embers
Of a fate that didn't last

Every hope life let us keep
Kept us going through the rough
When times got bad, we both got tough,
But I remember, and I weep.

Nice poem. I reckon you can achieve more symmetry if you rearrande 2nd phase rhyming scheme so it matches first. Just a thot
