I Saw Him Poem by Pummy Sharma

I know he was there,
I could see him in the glare,
He would talk to me,
Thinking this, I stood there.
But when he saw me,
He just moved away
Without having a word to say.

I sat there helpless,
Holding my head in my knees;
I saw people staring,
I could feel the flowing breeze.
I saw new couples
In each other’s arms,
I saw farmers working
In their beautiful farms,
I saw the birds
Picking the seed of corns.

I saw the cattle
Grazing in the herds,
I could see energy
In the flying birds.
I saw flowers bloom,
I could see the leaves die;
I saw some people laughing
I could see the people cry!

What I couldn’t see
Is thee;
Turning your back
And glancing back at me…
