I See Better Days - Poem by Etserefe Goodluck

I SEE BETTER DAYS
I See better days, even when everything
Seems to be going astray.
I see better days, even if there’s no
For my head to lay.
I see better days, even when the weather outside
Refuse me to go out and play
I definitely see better days,
Days made of gem stones and not of clay.
I see better days! I see better days! ! I see better days! ! !

These are my better days;
The times, when success becomes ma pay.
That time, when people will cradle for what I say.
These are my better days;
The times, when my coat of penury is flayed.
That time, when frenzies has finally come to stay.
These are my better days! These are my better days! ! These are my better days! ! !
Oh……. Thou better days
Now that you’ve finally come to stays,
What must I say?
What price must I pay?
For you to stay and never to go away.
BETTER DAYS.
